So, I'm taking online classes right now for my doctorate and I only have 1 more assignment to complete for this summer class and I seriously can't figure out how to start writing this project. I just want to read people's blogs!! I also wouldn't mind taking a nap.... I was soooo tired at work today! Its hard sometimes to have the energy to talk with people who are more than likely going to be dying in the next couple of months. I currently work on the oncology floors at this hospital and it just gets depressing. I feel like I'm torturing people sometimes. When I say I'm from PT the patients sometimes reply "pain and torture?" Gah, I don't want to be the bad guy!! Once in awhile I have a few patients that love to get up and be physical cuz it means they can get home that much sooner. Sorry this is more of a vent post... moving on...

Hi!:D Though at times it could be really depressing at work, just smile. :D
No matter how sad days can be and most likely those people you talk to are gonna die soon, a smile is still a smile, it's positive and uplifting.:D

Everybody needs to vent sometimes. Let it out, girl!
And I totally understand how distracting reading blogs can be. They suck you in!
I had a vent post today as well!!! Sorry missed your call the other night! Pain and torture heals... I hear screaming all day at work ;-)
Hi
I think it's great you're doing a doctorate in Oncology. I got my doctorate earlier this year in Cultural Studies. It was interesting but there are no jobs in Britain, apart from in the sciences - and particulary in oncological studies. It must be depressing but it is still positive that you are doing something useful and potentially life changing (I was just talking about art!) My sister got diagnosed with breast cancer one week before my viva and after I passed I started to get interested in oncology and I wish I'd studied something more important like that. Good luck with everything!
